In addition to being a GIS and Data Analyst, Tricia is currently a PhD student in Urban and Regional Planning focusing on coastal issues around as climate change and sea level rise, land use and water quality.  Current projects include using raster land cover data, population data, and nutrient, water quality, and meteorological data to analyze trends in population and land use change, and explore machine learning algorithms to predict water quality parameters based on land use composition. Tricia also volunteers her GIS services to the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve and their Oyster and Water Quality Task Force. Tricia has two cats that are very happy she spends so much time in front of her computer where they can usually be found curled up next to her.
