Implications of SB 360 for Small Cities

COURSE GOAL

The “Community Renewal Act”, otherwise known as SB 360, was passed by the 2009 Florida Legislature and signed by Governor Crist on June 1, 2009. This act dramatically alters the landscape for transportation planning in Florida’s small cities. The University of Florida's Urban and Regional Planning Department, a PAB-accredited graduate planning program, has developed a short course to improve understanding of SB 360 and the "Transportation Concurrency Exception Areas" for small Florida cities that the bill creates.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The course is designed for professional planners engaged in implementing SB 360.
